Fabrication for Festival – Large scale fabrication

This large scale character and accompanying signage was created for the bright and colourful Kaleidoscope Festival. It not only had to be impactful and colourful, but given its scale it had to be carefully designed and fabricated to ensure a completely secure structure. At the core of the construction is a steel substructure required for strength and resilience. The skin of the character is constructed in wood with a variety of curved and faceted surfaces. The final paint job is meticulous in its detail, carefully finished to create a vivid and impressive beacon at the Kaleidoscope festival.
